Jennifer Krabbe – Soprano

With a stage presence that has been called “joyously uninhibited” (Opera Canada), soprano Jennifer Krabbe has found success on both the operatic and concert stage.
Jennifer’s recent oratorio performances include Canadian composer John Estacio’s The Houses Stand Not Far Apart and Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem with Chorus Niagara, and Considering Matthew Shepard with the Elora Singers. She has also twice appeared as a soloist in Jack Layton’s Messiah for the City concert with the Toronto Beach Chorale and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

Some of Jennifer’s recent operatic roles include Paquette in Bernstein’s Candide with the Grand Philharmonic Orchestra, Pamina in a new English production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Stratford Summer Music Festival, Calisto in Cavalli’s La Calisto, and Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.

Jennifer is also a founding member of Collectìf, a collective of musicians dedicated to exploring and expanding the world of art song performance by presenting innovative, song-based theatre.
