Toronto Beach Chorale is an auditioned concert choir of 40 highly motivated singers who are committed to excellent performances of classical choral music.

TBC provides a friendly, supportive environment in which enthusiastic singers experience the joy of singing and enhance their choral skills. Choristers are encouraged to participate in a music theory program, led at no additional cost by the Artistic Director, Mervin Fick.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I have to audition to join Toronto Beach Chorale (TBC)?
Yes.
Auditions are held to assess the level of a singer’s ensemble skills and vocal abilities and assign voice parts. Auditions are held twice a year, during the first few weeks of September and January.

Do I need to have previous experience?
Yes, the repertoire is challenging. Previous classical choral experience is preferred.

Do I need to be able to read music?
Yes.

When and where does TBC rehearse?
Toronto Beach Chorale rehearses Wednesday evenings, 7:00pm – 9:30pm at Danforth Mennonite Church.
Additional rehearsals may be called throughout the season.

Are there membership fees?
Yes. Membership dues for the season are $350.00

Is there a dress code?
Yes.
The dress code for ticketed performances is:
Women: Toronto Beach Chorale Concert Gown (information available upon joining the choir)
 Men: Tuxedo, black bow tie

Can I sit in on a rehearsal before joining the choir?
Yes.
